Ariana Grande is joining the cast of the FX anthology series American Horror Story for its upcoming Season 13. The singer and Wicked star will appear alongside returning series favorites, bringing excitement for horror fans worldwide.
Creator Ryan Murphy announced the news on Instagram, showcasing the full list of cast members in the show’s iconic font. The announcement was set to Vera Lynn’s 1944 classic “I’ll Be Seeing You.”
In addition to Grande, longtime fan favorites are returning. Jessica Lange, who starred in the first four seasons and returned as a special guest in Season 8, will appear again. Evan Peters, absent from Seasons 9, 11, and 12, will also be back. Sarah Paulson, who missed the last two seasons, is set to return, along with Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman.
The new season marks a reunion for Grande with her former Scream Queens co-stars Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd. The trio previously played sorority sisters hunted by a serial killer on the Fox series, also created by Murphy.
Alongside her upcoming role in American Horror Story, Grande recently wrapped filming Focker In-Law with Ben Stiller, the fourth installment in the Meet the Parents franchise.
Details about the storyline for Season 13 are still under wraps. It is unclear whether the season will connect to previous seasons. The show’s most recent season, American Horror Story: Delicate, aired from 2023 to 2024. That season, based on Danielle Valentine’s Delicate Condition, starred Roberts as an actress facing a potentially sinister pregnancy. Kim Kardashian made her first major acting appearance in that season.
With Season 13, fans can expect a mix of returning stars, new faces, and the suspenseful storytelling that has made American Horror Story a staple in television horror anthologies. The addition of Ariana Grande adds a new dimension to the cast, combining music and acting talent in one of television’s most anticipated seasons.
