Tensions are rising in the Belichick family as Jennifer Schmitt, daughter-in-law of NFL coach Bill Belichick, publicly criticized his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The incident reportedly unfolded in a 40-minute rant following a UNC football game on November 8.
Jennifer Schmitt, married to Bill Belichick’s son Stephen, reportedly directed strong words at Hudson, calling her “bats**t crazy” and claiming she only “controls everything.” Schmitt also accused Hudson of manipulating Bill, urging him to “wake up” and make a choice between his family and Hudson.
“You choose your family or you choose Hudson,” Jennifer reportedly said during the confrontation. She added that she did not care about potential repercussions for her comments, saying, “He wants to fire you, fire you. He wants to fking disown me, disown me. I don’t fking care.”
Stephen Belichick, defensive coordinator for the UNC Tar Heels football team, works alongside his father, who became UNC’s head football coach in 2024. The family dynamics have drawn attention amid Bill’s high-profile career and personal life.
Jennifer’s comments reportedly included body-shaming Hudson, telling her, “You also need to eat a burger.” The criticism comes after Hudson began dating Bill in 2023, reportedly meeting him on a plane two years earlier.
The tension was heightened after a viral CBS interview in which Hudson cut off questions about how the couple met, saying, “Not talking about this.” Jennifer later commented on Instagram, criticizing Hudson’s behavior: “Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off-set delaying an interview.”
Recent photos from a UNC game earlier this month, obtained by TMZ, showed Jennifer and Hudson keeping their distance, suggesting ongoing tension between the two women.
The incident adds to the public scrutiny of the Belichick family, combining high-profile sports careers with personal drama. Fans and media observers are watching closely as relationships within the family continue to make headlines.
