His role in Justice League International during the 1980s made him a breakout character, known for his constant clashes with teammates and his humorous yet tough personality. He often fought with Batman and other members, providing both action and comic relief.
Guy Gardner has also appeared in animated series like Justice League Unlimited and Green Lantern: The Animated Series. But now, he’s making the jump into James Gunn’s live-action DC Universe. In the 2025 Superman film, Gardner appears as a key supporting character, played by actor Nathan Fillion. His appearance signals the beginning of a connected storyline that will continue in Peacemaker Season 2. In that show, Gardner works alongside heroes like Hawkgirl to battle threats like the Boravian invasion of the planet Jarhanpur.
