Early Saturday, Iran launched multiple missile attacks targeting northern Israel. Sirens sounded across much of the region as emergency services responded to damage and casualties. In central Israel, homes were damaged and more than a dozen people were injured, including two deaths, according to Israeli emergency officials on local news.

The missile strikes followed Israeli air raids the previous night. Explosions were visible in Tel Aviv as Israel struck Iran’s nuclear sites and military targets. Iran called its counterattack “Operation Severe Punishment” to respond to the Israeli strikes.

On Friday night, Israeli forces conducted air strikes that killed at least 78 people, including four senior Iranian commanders. The attacks aimed to disrupt Iran’s nuclear program and military operations.

Iran’s retaliation began early Saturday with missile barrages primarily targeting Israel’s north. Israeli missile warning systems activated as residents heard sirens and saw missile interceptors in the sky.

Emergency services reported damage to homes and infrastructure in central Israel. Hospitals prepared to treat the injured, while people in affected areas experienced fear and disruption.

The escalation raised concern from neighboring countries and international groups. Many urged restraint and called for dialogue to avoid further violence.

The United Nations expressed worry over the rising conflict and asked both sides to seek peaceful solutions. Experts warn that continued fighting could destabilize the region and lead to wider conflict.

Iran stated its missile attacks were a direct response to Israeli aggression and vowed to defend its interests. Military analysts see this as part of a broader struggle for regional influence.

Israel activated its missile defense systems, including the Iron Dome, to intercept incoming attacks. The country remains on high alert amid ongoing tensions.

Israeli officials said their strikes were necessary to prevent future threats and promised to act firmly to protect security.

Analysts warn that the conflict could escalate further as both sides are ready to use military force. International efforts to reduce tensions continue but recent attacks show the fragile situation in the Middle East.
