Israel emerged as the world’s most conflict-prone country in 2025, according to the independent conflict monitoring group ACLID. The organization analyzed local and international reports and found that Israeli forces carried out at least 10,631 attacks in multiple countries between January and December 5, 2025.
Palestinians bore the brunt of these attacks, with Israeli forces striking Gaza and the West Bank nearly 8,332 times. The assaults have caused over 25,000 Palestinian deaths and injured more than 60,000 people.
ACLID reports that under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel launched an average of 29 attacks per day across various regions. Besides the Palestinian territories, Israeli forces also targeted Iran, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, and Yemen.
In Iran, Israel conducted military operations over a 12-day period, striking a total of 61 times. In Lebanon, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) carried out approximately 17 attacks despite an existing ceasefire with Hezbollah. Syria was not spared either, with over 212 strikes recorded in southern regions, including Damascus, Deraa, and Quneitra. The attacks reportedly targeted Iranian military activity in the country.
Yemen also experienced Israeli airstrikes at least 48 times. Minor attacks were reported in Tunisia twice, and at least once in Qatar, Malta, and Greece, highlighting the far-reaching impact of Israel’s military operations.
Analysts note that the unprecedented number of attacks in 2025 makes Israel the most aggressive country globally this year. ACLID’s report emphasizes the high intensity and frequency of Israeli military actions, particularly in densely populated and conflict-sensitive regions like Gaza and the West Bank.
The report suggests that the ongoing conflict under Netanyahu’s leadership has severely disrupted regional stability. Palestinians remain the most affected, with thousands of families displaced, infrastructure destroyed, and daily life heavily impacted.
Experts highlight that Israel’s attacks are not limited to local conflicts. The strikes in Iran, Lebanon, and Syria indicate broader geopolitical objectives, with Israel targeting perceived threats and proxies in the region. Analysts also warn that these operations could escalate tensions and draw other nations into prolonged confrontations.
In Gaza and the West Bank, frequent airstrikes, raids, and ground operations have created humanitarian crises. Hospitals, schools, and residential areas have been damaged, leaving thousands in urgent need of medical and social support. Aid organizations have repeatedly called for restraint, citing the severe impact on civilians.
ACLID’s analysis also points to the global attention Israel’s military strategy has drawn. Media outlets worldwide have covered the high number of attacks and their effects on regional peace. International organizations have urged dialogue and diplomatic solutions to reduce casualties and restore stability.
While Israel justifies its operations as necessary for national security, critics argue that the scale and frequency of attacks in 2025 are disproportionate and violate international norms. The report highlights that millions of civilians, particularly Palestinians, are living under constant threat.
ACLID warns that without diplomatic intervention, the ongoing conflict could expand further. The report underscores the urgent need for international engagement to mediate disputes, prevent escalation, and protect civilian populations.
2025 will be remembered as a year of intense conflict led by Israel, marking it as the most active country in global military aggression. With thousands of casualties and widespread destruction, the report calls for accountability, peace-building measures, and strategic dialogue to prevent future escalations.
