Teyana Taylor turned heads at ELLE’s 2025 Women in Hollywood event in a bold gold Balmain gown. The hooded dress featured a plunging neckline and a striking gold belt that emphasized her waist. She paired the look with gold strappy heels, leaving a lasting impression on the red carpet.

The outfit marked a shift from her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in Paul Thomas Anderson’s film One Battle After Another, where she sported baggy cargo pants and a flannel sweater. At the event, Taylor showcased a glamorous, confident side, proving her versatile style and red carpet appeal.

In an accompanying ELLE cover story, Taylor reflected on her journey and the challenges faced by women in Hollywood. She said, “The hardest part is being a woman in Hollywood. The even harder part is being a Black woman in Hollywood, because I do feel like this is a man’s world. And we have to show who we are as women to be respected in that space.”

Taylor highlighted the progress she sees for women in the industry. “I do see change happening. I see more light being shed on women, and I think it’s because we’re busting through the doors, unapologetically us. We’re not giving anybody a choice: you will see us and you will hear us. And if you don’t, we’re going to make you.”

She added, “Seeing women step into our glory and standing 10 toes down in some red bottoms has been amazing. We’re really stomping through, and that’s what I love about being a woman in Hollywood. We’re going to make you hear us.”

Taylor’s statement reflects a growing movement in Hollywood, where women are asserting their presence and breaking barriers. She stands as an example of resilience, creativity, and empowerment in the entertainment world.

Her Balmain look at ELLE’s event became an instant fashion highlight. The gold fabric caught the light beautifully, while the hood added a modern edge. The belt drew attention to her figure, making it a memorable red carpet moment. Fashion critics praised the ensemble for its boldness and elegance.

Taylor’s appearance also reinforces her influence beyond acting and music. She uses her platform to speak about representation and inclusion, showing that style and social commentary can go hand in hand.

Hollywood has long been criticized for underrepresenting Black women. Taylor’s visibility and success signal gradual change. By embracing both her identity and her artistry, she sets a powerful example for aspiring actresses and performers.

Her ELLE interview and stunning appearance together underscore the dual role many women play in the industry: demanding respect while redefining beauty and fashion standards. Taylor’s unapologetic presence reminds audiences that Hollywood is slowly evolving, giving space for diverse voices and talent to shine.

With her bold choices on and off the red carpet, Teyana Taylor continues to challenge norms. Her Balmain gown at the 2025 Women in Hollywood event was more than a fashion statement—it was a declaration of empowerment, visibility, and confidence for Black women in the industry.
