Former Dancing With the Stars pro Lindsay Arnold is expecting her third baby with husband Sam Cusick. The couple’s newest child will join their daughters, Sage, 5, and June, 2.
Lindsay shared the news on Instagram on November 24, posting a sonogram photo with her family. “BABY CUSICK #3 IS ON THE WAY,” she wrote. “We could not feel more blessed, grateful, and excited.” She added a sweet message to her unborn child: “We love you so much already, baby, and we can’t wait to meet you!!”
Fans and DWTS colleagues celebrated the news online. Witney Carson commented, “I CANT WAIT FOR BABY CUSICK!!!” Jenna Johnson added, “CONGRATULATIONS to my fav family,” while Sasha Farber wrote, “Itsssss happening!!!!” Lindsay’s sister, Rylee Arnold, also congratulated her, calling the new baby “another perfect little angel.”
This announcement comes three years after Lindsay stepped back from DWTS to focus on raising her family in Utah. In a 2022 TikTok, she explained, “This time of their life is so precious, and it’s moving so, so fast, and I want to cherish every single moment. I don’t want to miss a beat.”
The 31-year-old dancer described her departure from DWTS as the “right decision” after more than 10 years on the show. She said that traveling between Hollywood and Utah was difficult and she wanted to be fully present with her children.
Lindsay has also been open about her love for her Utah community. “I feel like my community, the people I’m around, are the most incredibly supportive people,” she shared. “My sisters are all moms and truly my best friends, but my community here could not be more supportive.”
Other DWTS pros have similarly spoken about why they left the show, often citing family commitments, career changes, or personal projects. Notable departures include Karina Smirnoff, Artem Chigvintsev, Derek and Julianne Hough, Mark Ballas, Maks Chmerkovskiy, Peta Murgatroyd, Cheryl Burke, and Allison Holker. Each shared that leaving allowed them to focus on family, new opportunities, or personal growth while still cherishing their time on the show.
Since leaving DWTS, Lindsay has dedicated her time to motherhood and family life. She has emphasized the importance of savoring every moment with her children and prioritizing their happiness. Her fans continue to support her journey as she prepares to welcome Baby Cusick #3.
