As Nigeria moves closer to the 2027 general elections, the ruling party in Lagos State says it remains confident of victory. The All Progressives Congress (APC) says it will be judged fairly by voters based on its achievements and leadership, not on opposition criticism.

This was stated by the Lagos State APC Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, in response to a recent press release by an opposition party. In the statement, Oladejo dismissed claims that Nigerians would no longer support the APC, calling the opposition’s message misleading and without substance.

Oladejo emphasized that Nigerians will make informed decisions when choosing their leaders in 2027. According to him, voters will consider facts such as good governance, leadership quality, and developmental results, not emotional comments or political attacks.

He said, “As 2027 approaches, we are confident Nigerians will judge all political parties based on performance, honesty, and the ability to lead.” He added that in these areas, the APC stands strong.

Oladejo also stated that patriotism goes beyond political party lines. He explained that true patriotism means working for national growth, unity, and peace. According to him, the APC has shown these values through its long-standing reforms and efforts to improve key sectors.

The APC spokesman pointed to developments in infrastructure, the digital economy, and agriculture as key achievements. He said these projects show the party’s dedication to improving the lives of Nigerians.

He dismissed the opposition’s claim that no patriotic Nigerian would vote for the APC in the next election. Oladejo called that view “insulting” and said it shows a lack of respect for voters’ intelligence.

He noted that Nigerians are wise and understand the challenges of governing a large and complex nation like Nigeria. He said leadership involves planning, patience, and the ability to adjust to changing situations.

Oladejo added that the APC has shown strong leadership despite difficult times. He said the party is already working on reforms aimed at reducing insecurity, improving the economy, and making sure growth includes everyone.

He also criticized the opposition party for what he called “politically charged” statements. According to Oladejo, the goal of these statements is to distract from the real work of nation-building. He stressed that the APC prefers to focus on real progress rather than media stunts.

Oladejo urged Nigerians to remain focused on the bigger picture. He encouraged citizens to look at facts and real achievements when choosing who to support in 2027. He said the APC is ready to be judged fairly and will continue to earn the trust of the people through action.

As political discussions heat up ahead of the next election cycle, the APC says it is not worried by opposition efforts to weaken its image. Instead, the party is looking ahead with confidence and says it is proud of its contributions to national growth and stability.

With political debates likely to increase over the coming months, the APC believes that results will speak louder than words. The party says it will continue to serve the people and is committed to making Nigeria stronger, safer, and more united.
