Nvidia, the leading technology company, announced that it will build its first industrial artificial intelligence (AI) cloud platform in Germany. This news came from CEO Jensen Huang during the VivaTech conference in Paris on June 12, 2025. The platform is designed specifically for industrial applications and aims to support German manufacturers, especially major carmakers like BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

The AI cloud will offer powerful computing capabilities tailored to industrial needs. It is expected to help factories, supply chains, and automotive companies improve automation, quality control, and design processes. Germany is a major center for automotive manufacturing, making it an ideal location for Nvidia’s new AI service.

BMW and Mercedes-Benz already use AI technology in many areas, such as predicting machine maintenance needs and enhancing vehicle safety features. With Nvidia’s local AI cloud, these companies can access faster and more secure AI tools. This reduces the risk of data privacy issues because the cloud will store and process data within Germany, following strict European data protection laws.

Other German industries, including chemicals, machinery, and logistics, will also benefit from the new AI cloud. The platform can help optimize production lines, forecast demand, and manage supply chains more efficiently. By having a local AI cloud, German companies can accelerate their digital transformation while meeting legal requirements.

The German government has shown strong support for AI development through funding and policies aimed at strengthening the country’s technology sector. Nvidia’s investment aligns with these goals and is expected to create new jobs in AI and cloud technology.

The industrial AI cloud platform is scheduled to start operating in early 2026. It will provide continuous updates and new AI features to keep up with evolving industrial demands. This development marks an important step in boosting Germany’s role as a leader in AI-driven manufacturing and innovation.
