Von Miller, the veteran NFL linebacker, has chosen his new team for the 2025 season. The former Denver Broncos star announced he will sign with the Washington Commanders, ending speculation about his next move.

On Wednesday evening, Miller shared a tweet showing him wearing the Commanders uniform with the number 24. This number honors his former teammate, Champ Bailey. Miller also posted a photo of Bailey on his Instagram page, showing respect to the Broncos legend.

Miller’s NFL career began with the Denver Broncos, where he played for over ten years. He was a key player in the Broncos’ victory at Super Bowl 50 after the 2015 season. Miller earned the Super Bowl MVP award for his outstanding performance in that game. He stayed with the Broncos for five and a half more years before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams.

While with the Rams, Miller added another Super Bowl win to his resume. After his time in Los Angeles, he joined the Buffalo Bills and played there from 2022 to 2024. Now, with the Commanders, Miller will face his old team, the Broncos, during Week 13’s Sunday Night Football game this fall.

Von Miller holds several important records with the Broncos. He leads the franchise in career sacks, with 110.5. Across his entire career, Miller has totaled 129.5 sacks, ranking 16th on the NFL’s all-time sack list. He is only nine sacks away from reaching the top ten all-time, currently held by DeMarcus Ware.

The signing of Miller by Washington adds veteran experience to their defense. His leadership and skill will be crucial as the Commanders look to improve their standing in the league. Meanwhile, Broncos fans will watch closely as Miller returns to face his former team.

Miller’s impact on the Broncos is clear. His legacy includes not just statistics, but also his role in helping Denver win its third Super Bowl title. His arrival in Washington marks a new chapter in his long and successful NFL career.

The Week 13 matchup between the Commanders and the Broncos will be one of the most anticipated games of the season. Fans will be eager to see Miller on the field against his old teammates.

This move is part of a trend where experienced players bring leadership to teams seeking to build stronger defenses. Miller’s journey reflects both his talent and his value in the league.

As the 2025 season approaches, all eyes will be on Von Miller and how he adapts to his new team. His history with the Broncos and his career achievements make his return to Denver a highlight of the NFL calendar.
