Millions of Iranians took to the streets on Saturday in pro-government counter-protests, defending the Islamic Revolutionary government amid ongoing unrest. Demonstrations were held across Tehran and other major cities, with participants rallying in support of national sovereignty and security.

The counter-protests follow weeks of anti-government demonstrations calling for political change. Government supporters accused opposition groups of trying to destabilize the country and pledged to prevent violence at all costs.

Iran’s military briefed officials on the situation, emphasizing its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s infrastructure, public property, and citizens. Officials confirmed that security forces are preparing for any potential attacks or escalation, signaling readiness to respond to threats.

At the rallies, participants voiced strong support for the government and condemned foreign interference. Demonstrators warned against attempts to undermine the country through protests, emphasizing that Iran’s independence and stability are non-negotiable.

The U.S. and Israel have both been accused of interfering in the unrest, according to Iranian officials. U.S. President Donald Trump publicly warned of consequences for Iran’s internal disturbances and hinted at possible military action, heightening tensions. Authorities in Iran are monitoring the situation closely to prevent further escalation.

Reports from the government indicate additional casualties among security personnel during recent unrest, while some Western media outlets claim hundreds of protesters have been killed in clashes. The authorities said they are engaging with various social groups to address grievances and maintain order.

The United Nations has expressed concern over Iran’s handling of the protests, particularly citing internet blackouts and the labeling of demonstrators as terrorists in state media. The UN urged restraint and called for the protection of human rights during the ongoing unrest.

While anti-government demonstrations continue, Saturday’s counter-protests show significant popular support for the Islamic Revolutionary government. Organizers and officials stress the importance of unity, national security, and resisting foreign influence during a period of heightened tension.

Iran’s military and government officials have repeatedly warned that any attempt to destabilize the country will be met with a firm response. Demonstrators echoed this sentiment, calling for stability and reaffirming loyalty to the current administration.

The situation remains tense, with authorities and international observers closely monitoring developments. Analysts note that these counter-protests may influence the country’s political trajectory and the government’s approach to managing internal dissent.

Iran’s nationwide rallies highlight the divide between opposition movements seeking systemic change and government supporters defending the existing political structure, amid broader concerns over foreign involvement and national security.
