Former U.S. President Donald Trump made strong remarks about the ongoing Netanyahu corruption case in Israel. On Saturday local time, Trump took to Truth Social to express his views. He called the actions against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “madness” and described them as the work of “ruthless strategists.”

Trump said the corruption charges are directly blocking peace talks with Hamas. He highlighted the large financial support the U.S. gives to Israel, saying, “The United States spends billions every year to protect and support Israel.” Trump warned that such treatment of Netanyahu will not be tolerated.

He also criticized how the case affects Netanyahu’s role in managing tensions with Iran. Trump suggested that this ongoing legal battle weakens Israel’s leadership at a critical time.

The corruption case began in 2020. Netanyahu faces charges including bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. Although he was scheduled to be questioned by the court on Monday, the hearing was postponed. His lawyers asked for a delay, citing the risk of war with Iran. The court initially rejected this request but later the judge postponed the hearing on their own accord.

Several members of the Israeli parliament accuse Netanyahu of using regional tensions as a shield to avoid facing justice. Meanwhile, the International Criminal Court (ICC) has already issued an arrest warrant against Netanyahu and his former defense minister over alleged war crimes.

The Netanyahu corruption case remains a major issue in Israeli politics. The ongoing legal challenges come at a time when Israel faces intense regional security threats. This legal and political crisis is attracting global attention.
