Frontier Airlines has launched its annual GoWild! unlimited travel pass for just $299, offering travelers a rare chance to fly extensively at a low cost before the price rises to $599.

The airline announced that the discounted rate is available through Friday. The GoWild! pass allows passengers to book unlimited flights for one penny plus taxes and fees, though some restrictions apply.

The 2026-2027 GoWild! pass is valid for 20 months and can be used immediately, making it the longest travel period in the program’s history. Previously, pass holders could only use it for trips starting in May 2026.

Frontier Airlines’ chief commercial officer, Bobby Schroeter, said this year’s pass offers the most travel time the airline has ever provided.

Experts say this move could help Frontier gain an edge over competitors. The airline is expanding its pass as low-cost rival Spirit Airlines faces its second bankruptcy in less than a year. Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines has frustrated some travelers by ending its free checked bag policy.

Scott Keyes, founder of flight deals website Going.com, said Frontier is capitalizing on market conditions. He explained that other budget airlines are struggling, leaving an opportunity for travelers seeking low-cost flights. He added that Frontier has a history of growing its offerings in response to demand.

The GoWild! pass provides passengers flexibility. Travelers can book as many flights as they want during the 20-month period, allowing for spontaneous weekend trips or long vacation plans. This flexibility could attract travelers frustrated with rising airfares elsewhere.

Frontier’s unlimited travel pass program first launched in 2022. Since then, it has become popular among budget-conscious travelers looking for convenience and freedom to travel without worrying about rising ticket prices.

The airline emphasized that while the pass offers nearly unlimited travel, flights are subject to availability, and blackout dates may apply. Travelers must pay taxes and fees, but the base cost of flights is essentially just one cent with the pass.

With air travel demand continuing to rise in the U.S., Frontier’s timing could boost the program’s appeal. Industry analysts say the extended travel window and low introductory price may encourage more passengers to purchase the pass this year.

Frontier Airlines has positioned itself as a strong contender in the budget airline market. While competitors face financial or policy challenges, Frontier continues to offer attractive options for cost-conscious travelers.

The GoWild! pass could also help the airline build customer loyalty. Frequent travelers who enjoy low-cost, flexible flights may be more likely to choose Frontier over other carriers in the coming years.

Travelers interested in the GoWild! pass should act quickly. The discounted $299 price is only available until Friday, after which the cost doubles to $599. For those who value unlimited travel flexibility, the pass provides one of the most affordable ways to fly extensively across the U.S.

Frontier Airlines’ strategy appears to combine affordability with convenience. By offering longer usage periods and a low entry price, the airline aims to attract travelers seeking freedom, flexibility, and savings in one package.

As the airline industry continues to evolve, programs like the GoWild! pass may become a key differentiator. Frontier is betting that travelers will respond positively to the offer, especially as competitors face financial struggles or customer dissatisfaction.
