Hailee Steinfeld opened up about how she handled her husband Josh Allen’s playoff game while preparing for the Golden Globes. In her Beau Society newsletter on January 16, the actress admitted she was more than a little distracted.
“The day of the [Golden] Globes, something exciting was on TV that I’m sure you were all watching,” Steinfeld wrote. “Kickoff just happened to be at the same time as glam, so I was a little (lot) distracted.”
Though she could not attend the Buffalo Bills’ playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in person, Steinfeld was fully invested in watching from home. Her glam team, aware of her divided attention, carefully worked around her constant movement to keep her safe while styling her hair.
“My glam team is incredible at what they do and worked around my constant movement,” Steinfeld continued. “Andrew [Fitzsimons, my hairstylist] warned me every time an iron was close to my face, so I didn’t accidentally burn myself.”
The multitasking moment highlighted how Steinfeld balanced her professional obligations with her personal life. While preparing for the high-profile awards event, she kept her husband’s big game at the forefront of her mind.
Earlier in the year, Steinfeld starred as Mary in Sinners, a film set in Jim Crow-era America exploring a multiracial family’s story. The movie also featured Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, Miles Caton, and Delroy Lindo. Sinners received Golden Globe nominations for Best Original Score and the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award.
Despite her busy schedule and the excitement surrounding her Golden Globes preparations, Steinfeld showed that supporting Allen was equally important. Fans were treated to a candid glimpse of how celebrities balance high-stakes events in both their personal and professional lives.
This glimpse into Steinfeld’s day highlighted the human side of public figures, showing that even amid glitz, glam, and award-season stress, personal connections like cheering on a spouse in a playoff game remain meaningful.
Steinfeld’s newsletter offered fans a playful yet relatable peek behind the curtain, blending pop culture, sports fandom, and celebrity life in one story. It revealed not only her dedication to Allen but also the care and attention of her glam team, ensuring her safety while she kept an eye on the game.
Her story underscores a trend among celebrities sharing more personal moments with their audiences, emphasizing that behind every glamorous appearance is a balance of priorities, passions, and personal commitments.
Overall, Hailee Steinfeld’s Golden Globes preparation was far from ordinary, with Josh Allen’s playoff game providing a thrilling distraction and a reminder of the personal connections that keep even the busiest stars grounded.
