Hengqin, China – The Hengqin-Macau Children’s Health Lifestyle Science Museum officially opened its doors on Saturday, offering an immersive educational experience focused on healthy living for children. Situated on the fourth floor of the Hengqin Culture and Art Centre, the museum spans 380 square meters, featuring a 265-square-meter exhibition hall and a 115-square-meter classroom.
A Collaborative Initiative for Health Education
The museum is the result of a joint effort between the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and the Social Welfare Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR). This initiative aims to integrate Macau’s health lifestyle education curriculum with innovative learning experiences that promote well-being among children.
By incorporating multimedia technology and interactive displays, the museum provides an engaging environment where children can learn about healthy habits through entertaining and informative exhibits.

- Child Growth and Development – Educating children on physical growth, nutrition, and exercise.
- Disease Prevention – Teaching essential hygiene practices and preventive healthcare measures.
- Mental Health Awareness – Promoting emotional well-being through interactive activities.
- Healthy Living Practices – Encouraging daily habits that foster a balanced lifestyle.
To make learning more engaging, the museum features multiple animated characters that guide children through each section. Additionally, professional instructors from Macau conduct Macau-style health lifestyle education classes, helping children establish lifelong healthy habits.
