A garbage truck from All American Waste overturned on Long Hill Avenue in Shelton on Thursday but was successfully righted by two cranes. The incident caused a temporary disruption, but authorities confirmed there were no injuries, and the truck sustained little to no damage.

Police have not immediately released information on the cause of the accident. However, video footage from the scene shows two large cranes carefully lifting the truck back onto its wheels. The operation required coordination between crane operators and local emergency personnel to ensure safety and prevent further incidents.

Local fire crews were on site while the cranes worked to stabilize and lift the truck. Officials reported that the vehicle appeared undamaged after being turned upright. The truck was then able to continue moving, minimizing traffic disruption on the busy road.

Residents and drivers in the area captured video and photos of the recovery, sharing the unusual sight on social media. The footage shows the cranes lifting the massive vehicle with precision and care, highlighting the skill and teamwork involved in such operations.

Traffic on Long Hill Avenue was temporarily slowed while crews worked to secure the scene. Emergency services coordinated to maintain safety for both workers and bystanders during the recovery. Despite the dramatic appearance of the overturned truck, the incident resulted in no injuries, a relief for everyone involved.

Incidents involving heavy trucks can be complex, requiring specialized equipment and trained personnel. The use of cranes to right the vehicle demonstrates the standard procedures for safely handling overturned large vehicles. These operations are critical to prevent damage to the vehicle, surrounding property, and to ensure public safety.

All American Waste officials confirmed that the truck was part of their regular fleet and had been operating normally before the accident. They expressed gratitude to local emergency responders for their swift action and expertise in managing the recovery safely.

Overturned vehicles, especially heavy trucks, can create significant hazards on roads. In this case, the coordination between fire crews, police, and crane operators prevented any injuries or serious damage. Authorities will continue to investigate the cause, though preliminary reports suggest it may have been a minor mechanical or handling issue.

The incident serves as a reminder of the potential risks faced by commercial drivers and the importance of safety protocols for heavy vehicles. Proper training, vehicle maintenance, and quick response from emergency teams are key factors in minimizing the impact of such accidents.

As the truck was righted and traffic returned to normal, residents expressed relief that no one was hurt. Video and images of the recovery have circulated widely, showcasing the unusual but expertly handled situation.

Authorities continue to review the scene to determine any further safety measures that may be needed for future operations. Meanwhile, All American Waste trucks continue to operate in the area, and the company reassured the public that safety remains a top priority.
