Just one day after a ceasefire was announced between India and Pakistan, a new threat appeared near the India-Pakistan border. A drone was seen flying in the sky over Barmer, Rajasthan, on Sunday night. This caused fear among people living near the border.

The local government acted fast. People were told to stay inside their homes. A full blackout began in Barmer at 8 PM. Lights had to be turned off, and people were warned to stay quiet and alert. The source of the drone is still not known.

Officials have not confirmed where the drone came from. But the timing made the situation serious. The Barmer District Collector and Magistrate used social media to tell people to remain safe.

Before this, similar blackouts had already taken place in Jaisalmer and other border areas of Rajasthan. These were safety steps taken to deal with rising tension with Pakistan. In Jaisalmer, the blackout started at 7:30 PM local time.

Indian news outlet Hindustan Times reported that a red light was seen in the sky over Barmer soon after the blackout began. This was believed to be a drone. After this sighting, security forces became more alert. They were ready to stop any attack that might come from the other side of the border.

On Saturday night, fear had already spread through the border areas. Residents felt panic again, just like they had in recent days. Despite the ceasefire, New Delhi said Pakistan continued its attacks. India blamed Pakistan for breaking the agreement.

In response, Indian authorities told soldiers to stay alert. The military was ordered to act if the ceasefire was broken again. India made it clear that it would not sit back and do nothing.

During a press meeting on Sunday, India’s Navy Chief gave a strong warning. He said that if Pakistan breaks the ceasefire again, the reply would be bloody. He also said the Indian Navy was ready to attack Karachi if needed.

He claimed that the Navy had full plans in place. Because of this, many Pakistani ships had to stay in the port or very close to the shore. He said the Indian Navy was fully prepared during the last round of conflict.

This statement made it clear how serious things had become. It also showed that India was ready to take bold steps if needed.

Tensions had started rising again on May 7. On that night, just after midnight, India launched missile strikes on different places inside Pakistan. These strikes were said to be revenge for a past attack. After this, both countries got into more conflict.

On Saturday, both sides agreed to stop fighting. This deal was made with help from the United States. But even then, just hours later, both India and Pakistan said the other side had broken the ceasefire again.

The Indian military says it wants peace. They do not want a war. But at the same time, they warned that any bold move from Pakistan will be met with a strong reply. The Navy Chief said, “Pakistan knows what we are capable of.”

This was a clear message. Peace is the goal, but India will not wait if it feels under threat. India says it will not start a war. But if the ceasefire is broken again, it will strike back.

As the situation remains tense along the border, both sides are blaming each other. The chance for peace looks weak, and people near the border remain worried.
