Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Sunday that a recent successful mission in Iran has made it easier to rescue Israeli hostages held in Gaza. He said the operation had created new opportunities for Israel and brought fresh momentum to its ongoing efforts.

Netanyahu made this comment while speaking at the headquarters of Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security agency. He praised the outcome of the Iran operation and described it as a turning point for Israel’s security and military plans.

According to him, this mission is not only a major success but also a sign that Israel has the strength and intelligence capabilities to protect its people both at home and abroad. Though he did not provide details about the nature of the operation in Iran, Netanyahu linked its success directly to the situation in Gaza.

He emphasized that the main goal now is to bring Israeli hostages home from Gaza. He said Israel is doing everything possible to make that happen as quickly and safely as it can. Netanyahu assured the public that the government is fully committed to this cause and will continue working on all levels to secure the release of the captives.

He also repeated Israel’s goal of defeating Hamas, the armed group that controls Gaza. According to Netanyahu, the two objectives—rescuing the hostages and defeating Hamas—go hand in hand. He said he believes that both goals are within reach and that Israel will not stop until they are achieved.

Netanyahu’s statement comes amid ongoing military activity in Gaza, where Israeli forces have been carrying out air and ground operations for months. The fighting began after a large-scale attack by Hamas on Israeli territory, which resulted in numerous civilian deaths and the capture of several hostages.

Since then, Israel has been under pressure to bring back its citizens. Families of the hostages have held protests and called on the government to do more. Meanwhile, international groups have urged both sides to avoid harm to civilians and find peaceful solutions, but a lasting ceasefire has remained out of reach.

Netanyahu’s reference to the Iran operation suggests that Israel is using all available tools to strengthen its position. While details of the mission have not been officially released, Israeli media and defense experts have pointed to intelligence-based actions targeting threats in the region.

Observers say the timing of Netanyahu’s message is important. It comes as Israel tries to show both its people and the world that it is making progress, not only in military terms but also in protecting its citizens and rescuing the hostages.

The Prime Minister’s speech highlighted a mix of military success and national resolve. By linking the Iran mission with the Gaza situation, he sent a strong message that Israel is capable of handling multiple fronts at once.

In recent weeks, Israeli officials have hinted at growing cooperation between Iran and militant groups operating in Gaza and Lebanon. They see Iran’s influence as a key source of regional instability and believe cutting that link is vital to long-term peace and security.

Netanyahu said Israel’s defense forces, security services, and intelligence agencies are working together closely. He praised their efforts and expressed full confidence in their abilities. He said these teams are not only acting with courage but also with care, keeping the safety of civilians in mind at all times.

He closed his speech by urging unity among Israelis. He asked the public to remain strong, patient, and supportive of the ongoing mission. According to him, the coming days are crucial, and national unity will help Israel achieve its goals.

While the outcome of efforts in Gaza remains uncertain, Netanyahu’s statement suggests that Israel is stepping up its strategy. With the apparent success of the Iran operation, the government may now feel it has more leverage in ongoing efforts to bring its people home.
