Ariana Grande will kick off her Eternal Sunshine tour in 2026, her first extended run of shows in seven years, but she says it will be her last for the foreseeable future.

On Tuesday’s episode of Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, Grande explained that she plans to take an indefinite break from touring after completing the 41 scheduled shows. The tour begins in Oakland, California, on June 6, 2026, and concludes at London’s O2 Arena on September 1, 2026, after a 10-show run at the venue.

“I’m going to do a small stint of shows next year because that is, like, something that authentically sounded good to me,” Grande said. “Following those authentic impulses feels like a good idea.”

Grande, 32, said she wants to explore other creative avenues beyond pop music. While she loves performing, she does not want to limit her artistic potential. “The last, you know, 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up,” she said. “I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time. So I’m going to give it my all, and it’s going to be beautiful. One last hurrah, for now.”

She added that she will continue to follow her intuition and pursue projects that feel right in the moment, including musical theater and comedy. “I spent so much time only doing pop music, but I grew up as a girl who loved musical theater and comedy,” Grande said. “It will be best for my soul and for my art to chase things that feel very right, even if they’re spontaneous or different.”

Grande also left the door open for future projects, including another Wicked film. “If we’ve learned anything from Cher, we can count on there always being another farewell tour,” she said at a recent Wicked: For Good panel in Los Angeles.

In addition to touring, Grande continues her acting career. She stars as Glinda the Good in Wicked: For Good, set to debut this week, and will host the Saturday Night Live Christmas special on December 20. In 2026, two months after the Eternal Sunshine tour concludes, she will appear as Olivia Jones in Focker In-Law, the fourth film in the Meet the Parents franchise, releasing on November 26.
