The City of Quinte West has lifted the boil water advisory issued on February 6 for Trenton Water Service customers.
The advisory, which also affected areas such as Murray Ward, Carrying Place, Prince Edward Estates, Kingfisher Cove, and Carrying Place/Consecon, has been lifted after test results showed the water now meets or exceeds Provincial Water Quality Standards.
Returning to Normal
With the advisory lifted, residents and businesses in the affected areas can use the water again as usual.
Public Health Recommendations:
- Run cold water faucets for one minute before use.
- Run drinking fountains for one minute before use.
- Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle.
- Drain and refill hot water heaters (set below 45°C; normal setting is 60°C).
Bulk Water Services
All Quinte West bulk water stations are now back in normal operation. The water conservation notice for residents in the affected areas has also been lifted.
