New Delhi, India – Former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor and retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Shaktikanta Das has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions in an official notice issued on Saturday. His appointment takes effect from the date he assumes office.
Das’ tenure will remain co-terminus with the term of the Prime Minister or until further orders, whichever comes earlier, as per the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
