Germany, France, and Britain have jointly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, urging Israel to restore full humanitarian access and adhere to international humanitarian law. In a statement released Friday, the foreign ministers of the three nations—known collectively as the E3—voiced grave concern over the escalating civilian toll in the conflict-ridden region.

Urgent Appeal for Ceasefire and Aid Access

The E3 ministers emphasized the pressing need for an immediate return to a ceasefire, warning that continued hostilities would exacerbate the humanitarian crisis. They demanded that Israel reinstate essential services such as water and electricity in Gaza, ensure medical access for those in need, and facilitate temporary evacuations for urgent medical treatment.

Additionally, the ministers called on Hamas to release all Israeli hostages without delay, reinforcing the need for de-escalation and diplomatic engagement to prevent further loss of life.

No Military Resolution, Only Diplomatic Solutions

The E3 nations firmly stated that a military solution between Israel and the Palestinians is not viable. Instead, they stressed that a sustainable ceasefire is the only path toward long-term peace and stability in the region.

“We must work collectively towards a peaceful resolution that ensures security for both Israelis and Palestinians,” the joint statement read, highlighting the dire humanitarian impact of the ongoing violence.

    Shock Over UNOPS Building Damage

Amid rising violence, the E3 expressed outrage over the recent damage to the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) building in Gaza. They called for a full investigation into the incident and emphasized the importance of protecting humanitarian organizations operating in conflict zones.

    Growing International Pressure for De-escalation

As humanitarian concerns mount and violence intensifies, the E3’s call for a ceasefire adds to the growing international pressure on both sides to halt hostilities. The United Nations and multiple global leaders have echoed similar appeals, emphasizing the urgent need for humanitarian aid access and adherence to international law.

The E3’s stance reflects a broader diplomatic effort to facilitate negotiations and prevent further deterioration of the situation.
