Paris-based cybersecurity firm Sekoia.io has raised €26 million in a Series B funding round to enhance its AI-powered threat detection platform and scale globally. The funding, led by Revaia with support from UNEXO, Bright Pixel Capital, Omnes Capital, and Bpifrance, brings the company’s total investment to €60 million. Sekoia.io plans to use the funds to expand its automation capabilities, tackle the cybersecurity talent shortage, and grow its partnerships with managed security service providers (MSSPs) beyond Europe.

AI at the Core of Cyber Defense

Sekoia.io is known for its AI-driven cybersecurity platform, the Sekoia AI-SOC, which provides real-time threat detection and response. In 2024, the platform identified over 4 million real threats — with 25% detected automatically using Sekoia.io’s unique artificial intelligence and threat intelligence technologies.

CEO and co-founder Freddy Milesi emphasized the importance of this technology, saying, “This fundraising will allow us to invest in the technological development of our platform — particularly in agent-based AI. Our ambition is clear: to scale globally and support more MSSP partners with our AI-powered solutions.”

    Addressing the Growing Cybersecurity Market

The cybersecurity industry is expanding rapidly, especially with new regulations like the NIS2 directive in Europe. This law enforces stricter digital security standards for organizations across various sectors.

The global MSSP market — which offers outsourced cybersecurity services — is forecasted to hit $52.9 billion by 2028. Sekoia.io is positioning itself to lead this segment with its open, scalable, and automation-focused platform.

With operations already active in four European countries and partnerships with around 50 MSSPs, the company aims to bring its model to new markets around the world.

A Platform Built for Flexibility and Performance

Sekoia.io’s AI-SOC platform transforms the way security teams operate. It offers a centralized view of an organization’s security systems, allowing teams to detect and respond to threats faster than traditional methods.

What makes the platform stand out is its combination of AI, automation, and contextual intelligence, giving SOC analysts smart guidance without replacing human expertise. In an industry facing a talent shortage, this feature is key to boosting analyst productivity.

The platform is also built for interoperability, offering over 200 integrations with third-party tools. This means companies can enhance their current security systems without starting from scratch.

    From France to the World

Sekoia.io was co-founded in 2022 by Freddy Milesi and Thérèse Favet in France. With over 15 years of cybersecurity experience, the leadership team has transformed Sekoia.io from a consulting firm into a technology company focused on advanced cyber defense.

Some of its high-profile clients include EDF, Vinci, SNCF, Mirakl, Marlink, and the French Ministry of Armed Forces. These partnerships highlight Sekoia.io’s reputation in delivering scalable, enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions.

The company is now aiming to replicate its French business model globally, offering its platform through MSSPs that can serve businesses of all sizes — including small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs).

    Investors Confident in Future Growth

Hadrien Comte, Principal at Revaia, expressed strong support for the company’s vision:

“We are proud to support Sekoia.io in this new phase of growth and to accelerate its expansion in Europe. Cybersecurity is a critical issue for companies of all sizes, and Sekoia.io provides an innovative solution by democratising access to advanced protection through AI and automation.”

Comte added that the company’s approach will help SMEs build resilience against increasingly complex cyber threats, helping level the playing field in digital defense.

    What’s Next for Sekoia.io?

With new funding secured, Sekoia.io plans to expand its reach and technology even further. The company is actively looking to recruit hundreds of new service partners who can bring its platform to global markets.

By doing so, it hopes to become a major player in the emerging AI-native security platform space — a segment expected to play a key role in the future of managed SOC (Security Operations Center) offerings.
