An Indigo flight from Delhi to Srinagar faced a terrifying storm in the sky on Wednesday. The plane flew into a sudden hailstorm and strong winds, shocking passengers and damaging the front part of the aircraft. A video of the event is now going viral on social media, showing the fear and chaos inside the plane.

The incident happened on May 21, as reported by the Hindustan Times. The storm hit the plane while it was mid-air, sending it through heavy hail and turbulence. Passengers were caught off guard. Many screamed in fear and called out to God. The person who filmed the video also looked clearly afraid.

In the video posted on X (formerly Twitter), the cabin is filled with loud cries. The camera shakes as the plane moves roughly. Passengers hold onto their seats. Some pray loudly. A few are in tears. You can hear panic in the voices. It looks like a scene from a disaster movie, but it was real.

The flight landed safely at the Srinagar airport around 6:30 p.m. local time, officials said. Airport staff were ready to help. Emergency teams were standing by. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Still, the experience left many shaken.

Indigo released a statement after the landing. They said the pilots followed all safety rules. The crew stayed calm and helped passengers. Once the plane landed, all passengers received support. The airline thanked the staff for their quick action.

The plane is now grounded. It will not fly again until after a full check. Engineers will examine the damage and repair the aircraft. Only then will it return to service. Indigo said safety is their top priority.

One passenger, Wais Maqbool, shared his story on X. He wrote, “I was on the flight, going home. It felt like I came face-to-face with death. The front of the plane got hit and damaged. Everyone was scared and screaming. It was a nightmare.”

His post received many replies from others who were thankful the flight landed safely. People online praised the pilot and crew. Some shared their own stories of scary flights. Others talked about how flying in bad weather is always risky.

Experts say that planes are made to handle bad weather. Still, sudden storms can be dangerous. That’s why pilots try to avoid them. But sometimes, like in this case, storms come up fast and can’t be avoided.

Indigo is one of India’s top airlines. It flies to many cities every day. This event reminds everyone how quickly things can change in the air. It also shows the skill of trained pilots and the strength of modern planes.

While the viral video caused a stir, many praised the way things were handled. The airline followed safety steps. The crew stayed strong. And in the end, everyone got home safe.

As of now, the video has been viewed thousands of times. It has been shared across platforms, sparking many conversations. Some called it a “miracle landing.” Others said it shows how scary air travel can get.

The investigation into the full damage is still going on. Until then, the plane remains on the ground.

This event will likely stay in the minds of those on board for a long time. But thanks to quick thinking and calm actions, a disaster was avoided.
