South Africa’s Minister of Tourism, Patricia de Lille, will officially launch Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025 on April 23 at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The media launch will unveil key updates about the event, which continues to be a vital platform for growth and collaboration within Africa’s tourism industry.

Key Highlights of Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025

The 2025 edition of Africa’s Travel Indaba will take place from May 12 to 15 in Durban. The event, with the theme “Unlimited Africa,” is expected to showcase the continent’s diverse tourism offerings. So far, 26 African countries have confirmed their participation, presenting over 290 tourism products. Additionally, 846 buyers from 55 countries will attend the event, solidifying Africa’s role as a prime global travel destination.

    New Developments for 2025

At the media launch, Minister Patricia de Lille will introduce new developments for the upcoming Indaba. The event will begin with BONDay (Business Opportunity Networking Day) on May 12, which will provide a platform for networking and business opportunities. The main exhibition will start on May 13, bringing together tourism stakeholders from around the globe.

“South Africa Awaits — Come Find Your Joy!”

This year’s Travel Indaba follows the global launch of South Africa’s new brand campaign, “South Africa Awaits — Come Find Your Joy!” The campaign highlights the country’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and unique experiences, encouraging travelers to explore what South Africa has to offer.

    Anticipated Impact on Africa’s Tourism

Africa’s Travel Indaba remains a crucial event for the tourism sector, bringing together key industry players, buyers, and partners. The event continues to promote the growth of the African tourism market, strengthening regional and international collaboration. By showcasing the continent’s tourism potential, Indaba 2025 is expected to boost the industry, attracting more visitors to the region.

The 2025 Indaba will serve as an opportunity for African nations to demonstrate their readiness to welcome tourists, highlighting key tourism products and services that reflect the continent’s diverse and vibrant offerings.

With the media launch set for April 23 and the main event in May, Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025 promises to be a landmark occasion for Africa’s tourism industry. As the world continues to seek new travel destinations, Africa stands ready to capture the global spotlight.
