As the world continues to hope for a ceasefire, Israel is intensifying its attacks on Gaza. In the last 24 hours alone, at least 72 Palestinians have died due to Israeli airstrikes. Most of the victims were civilians. Many were out in search of food or trying to collect aid when they were killed.

This surge in violence comes even after recent comments from former U.S. President Donald Trump, who suggested a possible path to peace. But these words have yet to turn into action. On the ground, there is little sign of relief for Gaza’s people. International silence and inaction seem to fuel the continued aggression.

A key target in many of the attacks has been areas near humanitarian aid centers. On Friday, a field hospital in Kuwait reported that at least six people were shot dead near a relief distribution point in Rafah, a city in the southern Gaza Strip. The attack happened close to a facility operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

Gaza’s Government Media Office has revealed alarming numbers. It stated that in just the past month, 549 Palestinians have been killed and more than 4,000 injured while trying to receive humanitarian aid. Most of these incidents happened near GHF-operated centers.

These figures are raising serious concerns among global observers. Many now believe that what is being presented as aid delivery is being used to carry out targeted attacks on civilians. GHF, which claims to be a major aid provider in Gaza, is now under growing scrutiny.

Doctors Without Borders, an international medical group, issued a strong statement this week. They described the aid operations near Israeli-controlled areas as a cover for violence. According to them, the GHF system has become a tool of cruelty. They have urged the immediate shutdown of such projects, calling them inhumane and deceptive.

The group did not stop there. It also accused GHF of working directly under the control of Israeli forces. Reports suggest that the organization operates with the help of American private security contractors. This setup, many say, turns the process of aid distribution into a trap rather than a rescue effort.

These concerns are not limited to NGOs. The United Nations and other international aid groups have also begun pulling away from GHF operations. Many now refuse to cooperate with the organization. Their main reason: GHF is operating under the direct command of the Israeli military, which is in violation of international humanitarian norms.

The situation is becoming more dangerous each day. Civilians, desperate for food and water, are forced to take huge risks just to survive. They walk for hours through rubble and destruction, hoping to reach aid centers. Instead of safety, many find themselves in the line of fire.

Critics argue that this kind of warfare crosses every limit of human decency. When unarmed civilians are killed while seeking food, it becomes more than just a military conflict. It becomes a human rights crisis. And that is exactly what Gaza is facing today.

While some Western leaders continue to express concern, actions remain limited. Ceasefire proposals have yet to gain real momentum. In the meantime, more lives are lost each day. The situation is further complicated by the lack of full media access, which makes it harder for the world to see the full extent of the crisis.

Activists and rights groups are calling for more pressure on Israel to halt the violence. They are also urging the United States to reconsider its support for aid projects that may be worsening the situation. According to observers, what Gaza needs now is not just food, but safety and dignity.

The daily death toll continues to rise. Gaza’s streets, already broken by war, now echo with the grief of families who have lost loved ones in line for a bag of flour or a bottle of water. The scale of this tragedy has pushed many to demand international intervention.

Global silence can no longer be an option. If the attacks continue unchecked, more civilians will die. More families will be destroyed. And the hope for peace will fade even further. The world must act, not just speak. Gaza’s people deserve more than empty promises. They need safety, respect, and an end to this violence.
