US President Donald Trump has publicly accused Chinese President Xi Jinping of conspiring with Russian and North Korean leaders against the United States. His remarks came during China’s largest-ever Victory Day parade in Beijing on Wednesday, highlighting the country’s growing military power.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un as you conspire against the United States of America.”

Trump has previously dismissed concerns about the strengthening ties between China, Russia, and other nations posing a global challenge to the US. He argued that China relies heavily on the United States.

During the social media post, Trump also referenced the support and sacrifices the US made for China during World War Two. The parade in Beijing marked 80 years since Japan’s surrender and celebrated China’s victory over the occupying forces. Trump emphasized the bravery of American soldiers who contributed to China’s victory, writing that they should be honored for their service and sacrifice.

Xi Jinping attended the parade alongside 26 other heads of state, including Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un. Some analysts view this gathering as a message to Western nations that have distanced themselves from these leaders.

China has increasingly sought to position itself as a global counterweight to the US, particularly after Trump’s tariffs disrupted international trade and economic structures. Trump has defended his tariff policies as vital to protecting American industries, accepting potential diplomatic consequences.

In an interview with the BBC, Trump dismissed the idea that China and its allies were forming a coalition to challenge the United States. “No. Not at all. China needs us,” he said. He added that his personal relationship with Xi is strong but stressed that China depends more on the US than the other way around.

Separately, in a radio interview on Tuesday, Trump expressed confidence that the alliance forming between Russia and China is not a threat to America. He highlighted the strength of the US military, saying it remains the world’s most powerful and that any attack against the US would be a grave mistake.

Trump also commented on recent tensions in Ukraine, expressing disappointment in Vladimir Putin after their failed peace negotiations in Alaska last month. He stated that the US would take actions to support Ukrainian civilians but did not provide specific details.

Meanwhile, China has avoided publicly criticizing Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Western officials have accused Beijing of indirectly supporting Russia by supplying dual-use materials and buying Russian oil, though China denies these claims.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported a fresh buildup of Russian troops along parts of the frontline. In his nightly video address, he said that President Putin “refuses to be forced into peace,” signaling ongoing concerns about escalation in the region.

Trump’s remarks come amid growing international attention on alliances between China, Russia, and North Korea. The US president continues to emphasize America’s military and economic strength while highlighting past contributions to China, framing the current global dynamics as a continuation of historical ties and obligations.

The Victory Day parade in Beijing not only celebrated China’s historical achievements but also served as a platform for demonstrating global influence, bringing together leaders who face strained relations with the West. Trump’s comments underscore ongoing tensions and the complex balance of power in current international relations.
