    A car hit a crowd during Liverpool’s Premier League victory parade. Around 50 people were hurt. Four of them were children. This happened on Monday evening.

    The police in Merseyside said this was not a terror attack. They caught a 53-year-old man. Police think he was the driver of the car.

    Dave Kitchen from the North West Ambulance Service spoke at a news meeting. He said 27 people were taken to the hospital. Another 20 people got help right at the scene.

    Liam Robinson, leader of Liverpool City Council, wrote on Twitter that this sad event has cast a shadow on what should have been a day of joy.

    The UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, and Liverpool Football Club also sent their best wishes to the injured.

    Liverpool had just won the Premier League. Fans came out to celebrate this big win. Many people gathered to cheer and join the party. During the parade, a car suddenly drove into the crowd. It hit many people. Some of the injured were children.

    Police arrived quickly and took control. They arrested a man they think was driving the car.

    About 50 people were hurt in the crash. Four of them were children. The injured were taken to hospitals nearby. Some had serious injuries and needed more care. Medical workers helped 20 others at the site itself. The emergency teams worked fast to help everyone. They used ambulances to take the most hurt people to the hospital.

Liverpool City Council leader Liam Robinson said, “This sad event has put a shadow on what should be a day full of joy.” UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke about the incident. He said he was thinking of those injured. Liverpool Football Club also sent messages of support. They thanked emergency services for their quick work.

    The North West Ambulance Service helped many people fast. Dave Kitchen, who spoke at the news meeting, said the teams did their best. They took 27 people to the hospital. Another 20 got help on site. The teams stayed on the scene for hours. They made sure no one else got hurt.

    The police said the event was not an attack. The driver’s reason for crashing into the crowd is not clear yet. The police are still looking into the case. The public was told to stay calm. Police said there is no further risk.

    The arrested man will face questions. Police will try to learn why this happened. The city will work on plans to keep events safe. Liverpool fans and the community are shocked. But many came together to help the injured.
