Iran’s missile attacks on Israel caused over $1.43 billion in damage, displacing 15,000 people and sparking 41,000 compensation claims.

Israel faces huge financial loss after a brief 12-day war with Iran. The missile strikes displaced more than 15,000 citizens. Over 41,000 claims for compensation have been filed with the government. Infrastructure damage alone is estimated at $1.43 billion.

Missile strikes by Iran hit many homes in Israel’s modern cities. Many houses are now unlivable due to the damage. Some areas look like scenes from horror movies. Local reports say that tens of thousands lost their homes. Many displaced families had to take refuge in hotels. The government estimates hotel costs at around $29 million.

Israel’s compensation fund has received over 41,000 requests. Among them, 33,000 are for home damage. Another 8,000 claims relate to damage to vehicles and equipment. The highest number of claims comes from Tel Aviv residents — at least 26,000 people.

The conflict hurt Israel’s economy beyond direct destruction. Nearly all business centers and emergency services were closed during the war. This closure caused huge losses in business revenue. The government plans to launch a support program for affected workers and business owners. The initial budget for this program is estimated between $570 million and $860 million.

Experts warn that this new expense will put pressure on Israel’s budget for a long time.

Before the Gaza conflict, about 6,000 Israelis were receiving aid. Now, this number has increased to 25,000. The Iran war has caused even more citizens to seek help.
